The manufacturing accuracy of bronze bushing molds depends largely on the application requirements of the molds, the processing equipment used, and the processing technology. Generally, the manufacturing accuracy of bronze bushing molds includes the following aspects:
1.Working life of bronze bushing molds:
The unreasonable organizational structure and excessive grain size caused by heat treatment lead to the decline of main properties such as mold toughness, cold and hot fatigue performance, and wear resistance, affecting the working life of the mold.
2.Manufacturing cost of bronze bushing molds:
As an intermediate link or final process in the mold manufacturing process, cracking, deformation and performance caused by heat treatment will cause the mold to be scrapped in most cases. Even if it can continue to be used after repair, it will increase working hours, extend delivery time, and increase the manufacturing cost of the mold. It is precisely because heat treatment technology and mold quality are closely related that these two technologies promote each other and improve together in the process of modernization. In recent years, the areas where international mold heat treatment technology has developed rapidly are vacuum heat treatment technology, surface strengthening technology of bronze bushing molds, and pre-hardening technology of mold materials.
3.Manufacturing precision of bronze bushing mold:
Uneven and incomplete structural transformation and excessive residual stress formed by heat treatment cause deformation of the mold during processing, assembly and use of the mold after heat treatment, thereby reducing the precision of the mold and even scrapping it.
4.Strength of mold:
Improper heat treatment process, irregular heat treatment operation or incomplete condition of heat treatment equipment cause the strength (hardness) of the treated mold to fail to meet the design requirements.
5.Geometric tolerance:
Including requirements such as coaxiality, cylindricity and parallelism. The accuracy of these geometric tolerances is generally between 0.01 and 0.02 mm to ensure smooth operation of the mold and reduce wear during use.
6.Surface roughness:
The finish of the bronze bushing surface will affect its service life and performance. Generally, the surface roughness requirement of the bronze bushing mold is between Ra 0.4 and 1.6 microns, and the higher precision requirement can reach about Ra 0.2 microns to reduce friction and wear.
In order to achieve these precision requirements, high-precision CNC lathes, grinders or polishing machines are usually used, and multiple inspections and corrections may be performed. These precision machining and inspection processes ensure the high precision of the bronze bushing mold to meet the needs of industrial production.
